How My Story Began...
Growing up, I loved playing with make-up and beauty
products and I was forever playing with my three sister's hair much to their dismay!
So it was probably inevitable that I would go on to work in the beauty industry. After many stressful jobs working as a prison officer and an education welfare officer, I decided in a now or never moment to quit the stressful life and retrain as a therapist.
I realised quite quickly that I had a true passion for the industry
well-being, treatments and care for my clients. I gained experience working in a leading salon and then
decided to go it alone and work
as a mobile therapist.
About Me
I'm proud to say I have won an impressive following during the years of practising beauty. With well over a decade of experience I have established a well deserved reputation. My loyal customer base has followed me throughout my career and they comment that they are endeared by my professionalism and dedication to her work.
After moving to a new area, I still have client's that travel over 40 miles just to get an eyebrow wax!
On re-locating, I decided to stop mobile beauty and opened a treatment room in my house. With my house being called Rowan House, Rowan Retreat was born! But within a year, this little treatment room was quick to be outgrown and I now do all treatments in a beautiful cabin in my garden.
In the short time Rowan Retreat has been established I have racked up an impressive eight awards in just two years!
The beauty industry has long been accused of taking a narrow view of what constitutes beauty...But you wont find that at Rowan Retreat. Our person-centred attitude is highly valued by our clients. we are a place where all clients are free to be themselves without judgement. Beauty should not be demoralising!
I believe that if you look good, you feel good and if you feel good, you do good. My mission is to help you look and feel more beautiful than you already are!
